Our Favourite Coconut Recipes

From oil to milk to sugar to meat to butter to aminos, coconuts are known for their versatility of uses, ranging from food to cosmetics. The term "coconut" can refer to the whole coconut palm / tree (where the fruit grows), the seed, or the fruit, which botanically is a drupe, not a nut. Numerous parts of the coconut have a number of culinary uses. The seed provides oil for frying, cooking and making margarine.  The coconut meat is white and fleshy and is used fresh or dried. Coconut flour has been developed for use in baking while desiccated coconut and coconut milk are frequently added to curries and other savoury dishes.                                              In addition to multiple uses in food and cosmetics, coconut has heaps of health benefits, due to its richness in fatty acids. Some of the benefits are fat burning, killing harmful organisms, reducing seizures, improving cholesterol and it protects skin, hair and dental health.                                                                                  Since coconut is basically a staple in the kitchen, we gathered our favourite healthy coco recipes
