Our Favourite Buckwheat Dishes

Even though the name suggests otherwise, buckwheat is not actually a type of wheat and is therefore naturally gluten free. As a matter of fact, it isn’t a grain at all, buckwheat belongs to a group of foods commonly called pseudocereals. The plant is commonly cultivated in Asia and can be used for a variety of culinary purposes, particularly in noodles, breakfast foods, desserts and some beverages. Buckwheat has become popular as a health food in many countries, due to its high amounts of minerals (iron, magnesium, copper, phosphorous and manganase), vitamins, fibre, protein and various antioxidants. It has also been shown to provide various health benefits, including improved blood sugar control, cancer protection, reducing blood pressure and being good for heart and cardiovascular health. Buckwheat is too good not to be used in our everyday cuisine, so we gathered some tasty and easy recipes for you to try ASAP
