Our Favourite Chia Seed Recipes

Chia seeds are oval grey, black and white seeds with diameter around 1 mm. The seeds are hydrophilic so they can absorb a significant amount of liquid, up to 12 times their weight. When soaked their texture changes - they develop a coat that gives chia-based foods / drinks a distinctive gel texture. Chia seeds are widely used today, we can add them to smoothies, cereals, energy / granola bars, yogurt, tortillas, bread and many more dishes. Chia seeds are high in protein, dietary fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals so they have a lot of healthy benefits. The seeds boost energy and metabolism, they help with building muscle, strengthening bones and loosing weight and on general they are good for skin, heart, digestive and dental health. Enough said, let's check out 7 chia seed inspired recipes ✨
